Southern California, anyway. Coming up on March 13th, 2022 is the 11th edition of the Taishi Judo Tournament, held in Westminster, California. Westminster is in Orange County, just south of Los Angeles, and should be an easy drive from the Bay Area.
Westminster is the biggest “Little Saigon” area in California, and has a ton of excellent Vietnamese restaurants. It’s also close to Redondo Beach and Huntington Beach, two very picturesque areas.

This is an old-fashioned tournament, which means paper and pen entries only. There is no online registration. There is a discount for pre-registration, which must be done by sending your entry form through the mail with a paper check and a copy of your USA Judo membership. Walk-up registration on the day of the tournament is allowed.
