Over the years – as Oakland Judo first and then later as 510 Judo – we’ve had many different types of decoration for your standard judo uniform. We’ve had patches for the left chest area, big circular woven patches (which were probably slightly too big for regulations 😉 ), fabric printed patches to cover the upper back area. One time I even ordered a bunch of judogi and had them delivered to a second company in Berkeley for direct embroidery – never again! They looked great but it took forever (and the customer service at that company was non-existent).
