The 2022 Taishi Judo Tournament was held in on March 13th in Westminster, California. That marked the return of big time judo to California after two-plus years of covid restrictions. Judging from the more than 600 competitors that entered, there was a lot of pent up demand.
510 Judo sent five youth competitors to the tournament and came away with two gold medals and two silver, as well as a ton of experience and good memories. Sincere thanks to everyone at Taishi Judo Club for putting on an epic tournament. There was a fair bit of waiting around, but overall the organizers did an outstanding job getting everyone their turn on the mats.

Coming up soon, the USA Judo Junior Olympics will be close by in San Jose June 24th through the 26th.
