On Sunday, September 16th, the 2018 East Bay Judo Tournament was held in El Cerrito. According to the organizers, this was the biggest East Bay tournament ever with more than 350 competitors. Teams came in from Southern California, Idaho, and Chicago.
With lots of tough competitors, our team had their hands full! This time we came away with two second place finishes and one third place. However all of our competitors had at least one win on the day, and we saw some improvements from the last tournament in Seaside.
We didn’t get a group picture this time, so there are some people missing from the pictures above – this year our team consisted of Evan, Isaac, Luke, David, Kofi, as well as Jorge on the adult side. Thanks to all the parents for coming out and to Jennifer for coaching.
