Learning Ko Uchi Gari (Minor Inner Reap) can be difficult for beginners. Check out this method of teaching and drilling judo’s Ko Uchi Gari which I picked up from Darcel Yandzi’s Instagram page, which is a must-follow for judo coaches and sensei. He posts a ton of excellent judo content, most of which seems aimed at coaches and trainers.

Watching slo-mo throws and perfect combos is cool and all, and it’s mostly what you’ll see on youtube and instagram, but Darcel Yandzi posts drills, drills, and more drills, and probably a bunch of stuff you’ve never seen before. You get to see young kids and elite competitor adults and teens learning new things, trying new drills, and you see the progression as they get better.
