Hiza Guruma means “knee wheel” and is the throw of the week! It’s a simple throw, but just like any throw it takes time, repetitions, and hard work to develop a feel for it. The basic formula is step out of the way, block the knee with your foot and twist your uke over your outstretched leg. Take a look at the video above to prep for class.
